What does apt-get upgrade (no dist-) want to do? To me, this looks like a bug in aptitude, rather than a configuration problem, but I want to make sure that apt-get upgrade does the right thing first. It may also be that aptitude thinks you have these packages held for some reason - IIRC it uses a separate state database than apt.
