Hi folks,
does one know more?
With very nice virt-manager I can NOT boot some ISO images from my home
directory, but I can boot the same ISO files from /var/lib/libvirt/
images/.
Is this a bug, a security feature or is it a settings problem?
I saw some questions regarding to this in some forums, but no clear
answer to
it.
Thanks for a short response.
Best

Hello,
this is a simple settings problem: basically you have to declare in
virt-manager any directory you want to use.
So for instance if you want to use your home directory:
- open virt-manager
- right click on QEMU/KNM
- left click on "Details"
- left click on "Storage" tab
- left click on "+"
- then create the new storage pool with the right name, type and Target
Path
This way you can also put your virt-manager images (VMs) in another
directory than the default directory
