Re: [CASE 176037615700418] Not able to accept Marketplace Terms and Conditions which is preventing me from launching instance from AMI

Well,

I think it might have been a generally bad idea to list the debian-user mailing list as the owner of those AWS images. Hopefully you can get the attention of whoever is in charge of that.

If this thread is seen by the responsible party, might want to change that email to either a dedicated mailing list.

Best of luck,
Luke Harding

Hello, I've been having trouble migrating an image on AWS because I'm unable to accept the marketplace terms and conditions. I actually upgraded the machine to Debian 12 before migrating but the Debian 10 OS seems to still be attached. AWS is blocking migration until I accept the terms and conditions and subscribe which I can't because Debian 10 is end of life. See below reply from AWS.

Please grant me special access to accept the terms and conditions for Debian 10 in the AWS marketplace.

Thanks and best regards,
Brian

Hello,

I understand you're trying to access Debian 10 for your migration needs, and I appreciate you providing the screenshots for review.

After careful investigation, I can see that since Debian 10 has reached its End of Life status, you'll need to work directly with the Debian seller to proceed. The seller can grant you special access to accept the terms and conditions for this version.

Here are the next steps:
1. Contact the Debian seller team at debian-user@lists.debian.org
2. Request access to accept the terms and conditions for Debian 10
3. Once granted access, you can proceed with your migration

Should you need any additional assistance after working with the seller, please don't hesitate to reach out on this case.. I'm here to help ensure a smooth transition for your workload.
