It is not a solution, but it is better than crashing.

I see in your other message just now you have
Radeon R7 Oland.

On Debian 12 Bookworm here, I see:

$ sudo journalctl --boot --grep=OLAND
Oct 10 20:00:43 kablamm kernel: [drm] initializing kernel modesetting

Oct 10 20:00:43 kablamm kernel: kfd kfd: amdgpu: OLAND  not supported in kfd

I don't know if this "not supported" is the cause of the
GPU crash, but maybe it is.
