Looking at some of the history with the author (Jörg Schilling), it
looks like the capability was added back in 2013. At that time
Debian's fork did not pick it up. Or maybe, not until recently. Cf.,

Given the tortured relationship between the program author and the
debian maintainer, I would probably remove the Debian supplied
package, and build k3b from sources. Try to avoid the drama...
