I don't think *any* OS ever targeted a 4 bit microprocessor; they were
basically components for calculators, simple handheld games, and other
single-function devices, not general purpose CPUs.

By today's standards, IBM 1410 would be called a "microprocessor" — 100 k 6-bit characters. But it filled a room. And it did have a batch OS.
