Given the circumstances, you may want to know more about the computer.


I personally know a lot about it. It once was my primary machine.
It had a 32 bit OS originally but IIRC 64 bit hardware was becoming available so it might have been a suitable test bed for a then current problem.

Thank you. Looks like a good guide to not only answer some questions but give guidance on yet unasked questions.


Also ask Mr Google about the motherboard model for more difficult
information like data bus width, usable RAM types etc.
