Like others suggested, upgrade BIOS/Firmware to the up-to-date version. Download it from MSI website and make sure it is for your exact motherboard model and hardware version.
I've had stability issues with Z series of MSI motherboards before. Freezes were once in a few days(!), incredibly hard to diagnose.
The issues were fixed after a few months, once MSI released a new BIOS update for my motherboard and I've fiddled with BIOS settings again to find right combination, specifically going through and disable any "auto performance enhancers", "AI overclock", "power saving features", etc.
Never had a system freeze after that. *knock on wood*
