I expect you can say the same about any two web search services.
IOW anecdotal evidence doesn't say much, here.

BTW, for all you (or I) know, there's a web search service out there
which would work better, if only you/I knew it existed and got used to how
to use it.

Personally I use DDG because I grew an intolerance to Google products.

I don't know nor care if Google's search would give me better results:
I get what I need from DDG.  AFAIK the same holds (in reverse) for
the vast majority of Google search users.
