But i wonder whether this is just copied from CPU specs or whether
Linux imposes own limitations.
There seems to have been some evolution:
  https://access.redhat.com/articles/rhel-limits
says RHEL 6 on x86_64 (aka "amd64") had 12 TB as limit and RHEL 10 has
64 TB.

I also wonder what is the x86 mainboard with the currently largest
amount of usable RAM ...
