Of course, except by most users on the first boot(s?) of a new installation that
is the only OS installation, which, absent intervention, is the expected situation
since disabled os-prober became default. Users beyond that point are free to
change the default, which is to present the menu several seconds, when it would
present choices as you wish that both exist, and make any logical sense in the
particular context of a new installation with only one known bootable selection on
the computer. Trouble on first boot, common as it is, should not be presumed. The
ESC key is there should an alternative be needed for those situations.
