  with your comment about "old age, bad eyesight,", etc. i
certainly understand those.

  i would not do any destructive automatic scripts until there
was a way to check that the device and partition number are
verified to be what you want and also do not contain something
else as a failsafe just in case.

  on my current system device names can change.
