I did some research and making xml copies of html text actually 
downgrades you. Stick to well structured html only.

Also, generate a sitemap for humans <yoursite>/sitemap.html

and another for crawlers <yoursite>/sitemap.xml

And then go to google and add your site using google console and go to 
gospel minded friends to add links to your website.
