This has a lot of different branches. Where do you want to go?

- The "blind password" thing will depend on the program you
 are targeting: which one is it?
- How do you copy/paste? This might depend on the terminal
 you use
- Vi has lately changed its defaults for copy-paste (in an
 X terminal, at least). I always have to "set mouse=" to get
 my old behaviour back (and secretly curse at whoever had
 this brilliant idea).

Give us more details.
