Synaptics clickpad issue, which package to report?

Greetings. I've asked about this before but I'll be a little more concise.

I'm on trixie and I've been having an issue with my Synaptics clickpad, as its functionality right now is largely limited: only cursor moving, tapping to click, left-clicking and right-clicking; clicking in the middle no longer detected as left-click, and absolutely no detection of multiple finger gestures. I want to report this as a bug, but I am not sure if this is a kernel, libinput or other issue. So some info on the problem...

It had been working fine up until August 9th. While still on Bookworm, I was preparing to upgrade to Trixie. I MIGHT have made an upgrade to Bookworm's latest version that MIGHT have included a libinput or kernel upgrade (speculating). At one point, my laptop's battery died. After booting it back up, it started to behave as described before.

I was on kernel 6.1.0-37. I tried using the previous version (6.1.0-35) which seemed to temporarily fix it. I upgraded to Trixie and booted with its newer 6.12 kernel, only to see the issue back again; also, 6.1.0-35 no longer worked as a fix.

Running 'libinput-debug-events' on a headless tty doesn't detect anything more than GNOME already does.

As of now, the only hint of where the issue might come from comes from dmesg.
