It is supplied with Windows 11 pre-installed and I look forward to eliminating that infection, if Debian is practical. Many thanks in advance. Peter HBHave you checked the Linux hardware database? https://github.com/linuxhw/hw-probeNo. I'll be buying on-line, sight unseen, hence my specific query about ASUS. If there was a reliable computer vendor within 10 miles I would obviously go and test various machines for compatibility with a Trixie stick, but there isn't.Since you're in the UK you have the right to return an unsuitable product (or any product!). Tell the vendor in advance that you want to install Debian and maybe they'll test it for you.
Amazon is the most likely source, so I think that's a non-starter. Life was a lot easier before I retired from Siemens - and before Fujitsu absorbed the computer division I worked for. :-)
Normally I would go Dell, or HP but I've picked up some negatives on this list, hence the query about ASUS.There are also Linux specific hardware vendors such as https:// system76.com/ .If they had an outlet in the UK I would investigate them, but...We can also cite: https://frame.work/ https://slimbook.comSee above.
