It is the simple principle of problem solving, of mathematical
modelling, of systems analysis, etc, etc, etc.

If the right question id not asked, and the problem is not properly
defined, then obtaining the appropriate solution, cannot be reasonably
expected to occur.

If you find that offensive, then perhaps, you should learn some problem
solving skills.

 This is a typical childish response from someone who gets an ego boost from closing doors for people instead of opening them. And just as typical, you say "I'm doing you a favor by not helping because it will help" :-D I've been dealing with this mentality in computing and IT for 50 years now. The best sharpest people I've known are not like this.
