Others already mentioned that Debian stable received more timely
security updates compared with testing, and the stable security team is
Fast :)

For latest software, Debian has flatpak[1] where you can install
packages that are distribution agnostic and get updates regularly.  They
are also sandboxed for extra safety.  This way you get the best of both
worlds.
