Oops, my mistake.

I must admit the last (embedded) applications which I have created,
where only freestanding projects, without external shared libraries.
Totally forgotten this behavior from *g++/gcc*.

Thank you for the clarification. Unfortunately I have wasted the whole
day today with this layer 8 issue.
