If you're running out of disk space, use option "--delete-before" instead of "--delete"
But the option --delete-before is more dangerous, as you might loose files, when the rsync fails:
• you first wipe out all files, which are non-existend in the source.
• you don't copy the successor files, as the operation fails
There's a potential risk of data loss. So, handle this option with care, and know, I made this experience in the past.
Best regards,
Klaus.
