I recall a couple of reports on this mailing list when data recovery was necessary due to usage of UUIDs. Snapshots have the same filesystem UUID, so some old version may be accidentally mounted during boot. Do not use them in the case of LVM. Certainly FS labels are affected by the same issue.
Do not take it wrong, in other cases I still recommend UUID as first option to consider.
Specifically to partition UUIDs, sgdisk has an option for cloned drives: -G, --randomize-guids
