In this case you probably need the Kyocera proprietary driver. It's
probably a custom protocol, specific to Kyocera, that is used for this
kind of authentication.
If the linux driver does not work, I guess you're out of luck. It might
be that this function was only implemented for Windows clients.
You could try asking Kyocera for support (if they offer such an option),
or perhaps someone from the IT department of your university (some other
linux user might have had the same problem). Unfortunately your options
are not great.
