Listen to me,David
I born in China, live in China for more than thirty years.I had seen much corruption and violence caused by Chinese Government mainly by CCP.
Human rights violations and suppression of speech in China are very common
You just have a tour in most China countries, can't have a fully view about the  reality of China.
To be honest, the foreigner have much more human right than Chinese in China

I've never experienced it, or witnessed it imposed on others.

Well, congratulations.
You would appear to know more about me than I do.
The fact is, I've seen it all, from Guangdong, Fujian, Guizhou, Anhui,
Shanghai, Shandong, Beijing, Tianjin, and, yes, even out to Xinjiang,
where the most reliable of your `sources' report human rights
violations that simply don't exist.
In fact, far more of China than most Chinese.

Thanks, once again, for another trite example of your petit, snippy
mentality, Tomas.
Cheers, yourself.
