keepassxc and firefox
Dear list,
I have a little question to keepassxc with firefox, for I believe, I missed
something.
Actual state (Debian/stable):
- Installed keepassxc from Debian repo.
- Installed webext-keepassxc-browser from Debian repo.
- Created a new database in keepassxc.
- Imported passwords from CSV file (made from firefox) into database of
keepassxc
- keepassxc is started and database is opened
- firefox is running
- The keepassxc-icon in firefox is green.
So far, so well.
But when I click on the icon of keepassxc in firefox, I get the message:
Error: The default password store is not accessible.
----------
Now I am somehow lost. Does it mean, it can not access the passworrd store of
firefox or does it mean, it can not access the database of keepassxc?
What did I wrong, if any?
I also read, that firefox and keepassxc from flatpak do not work and a script
is needed. However, we do not have flatpak in debian (normallywise) but does
an installation from the repo need this script, too???
Maybe everything is already ok and I only misunderstood the messages.
Thnak you for any hints.
Best
Hans
