It's been fine for the mailing lists, I haven't needed to use any
archives. I do use mutt on my server as that doesn't have graphics, but
not very often. As far as email goes, I use a local SMTP server, so
Claws doesn't talk directly to the outside world, though it can, of
course. I have occasionally connected to an Internet email provider in
setting up someone else's system.

I also use it for Usenet access. I used to use Thunderbird for both, but
that just got far too slow. Claws-Mail starts in less than a second and
picks up the local IMAP server in only one or two more.

It's not great, but I don't like using the Google email program, and I
don't think anything else in the Play Store is open source. I do know
that K9 is very old. It's very much a backup email method. If I'm away
for more than a few hours, I'll take a real computer with me.
