Seems to be true.

seems to indicate it's a feature Suse developed. I have no idea if
that's in the mainstream kernel by now but I guess not. If it's
integrated, it'll get into Debian too at some point. If no, then it
would need some dev to take an interest and integrate and test and
maintain.
