Bugs in display scaling and screen resolution setting

hello friends,

I tried but found it too confusing to find where to report bugs for debian :-(  .

I see an issues in ver. 12.6.0 started from the live image:

Scaling the desktop by Settings - Display - General - Scale works
counter-intuitive, setting it to 2x reduces everything on screen to quarter size,
half height and half width, while setting it to Custom - 0.5x enlarges it to
double height and double width.

And an issue where I can't decide if debian or Kali:

Between Kali 2024-W32 and 2024-W36 ( weekly unstable ) something got lost which
makes some display resolution switches impossible. E.g. switching Settings -
Display - General - Resolution from 3840x2160 to 1920x1200 works, while towards
1920x1080 it doesn't. You get the dialog but nothing changes on screen, and after
confirmation and reopening the settings dialog the old resolution shows active.

Can anybody care for it or give advice?

Thanks a lot, newbie.
