Just to compare, when Red Hat released 9.0 maybe 2 years ago (9.2 is current until 30 June) they disabled by default many older key-lengths and algorithms in SSL that were known to be weak. This caused issues for existing installations. You could either re-enable the weaker methods (easy but a pain to figure out courtesy of RH's layers of administration) or bite the bullet and re-key.
