Hi, Maureen!
Glad it seems to have worked out for you. Welcome to Debian 12!
Hint: be sure to write a bootable copy of Debian 12 "Live" on usb thumb
drive, and keep it on hand to use as a rescue device. Be sure to test
it out in "Live" mode, and know how to set your bios to boot from a usb
device when needed.
Someday you may really thank yourself.
