I've found the details of the issue I got when I had no xorg.conf
file (that was in May 2020, thus 3 years ago) and 3 connected outputs
(laptop screen + 2 external monitors). At boot, the driver randomly
chose 2 of them. But when I logged out and the X server was restarted
by lightdm, I got the following error:

This is with GK208GLM [Quadro K610M], which supports up to 4 outputs.
So this is a driver issue (this was version 390.132-4).
