I am distressed to hear that Lennart Poettering made you install
unattended-upgrades and configure it in a way that can reboot your
computer in the middle of a month-long print job.

That's not it at all Andy, and I DO own it. But what happened from my forensics findings was that it updated something octoprint was using, causing octoprint to crash 2 days into a 9 day job. Not sure of how to fix it at the instant, I removed the execute perms from the update tool.

I'll fix it by purging unattended-upgrades in about a week when this print job is done. octoprint says it has about 5 days to go. And I won't fire off this job again until this printer can run at 1500mm/second.

That might need a much sturdier table for it to sit on but that is MY problem. That I can fix as I already made a bigger table for an even bigger printer. And I put casters on the printer and a rim on the table to catch it from jiggling off.

Truly when Poettering has such awful powers over your actions, humanity
is lost.

He has had some good idea's, but he makes us do the bug testing he should be doing. He could very likely beat me in an IQ test, but there's been 70+ years of water under the bridge since I made 147 in the 7th grade. I'm fading now and I DO know it.

Thanks Andy, I had that coming. Take care and stay well now.

Unless somehow this was solely down to an error on your part that for
some reason you don't want to take ownership of!

Cheers,
Andy
