Yes. However, you give literally no information about your environment,
no information about what you have tried so far, or why you think that
compiling from source is the first option, so it is difficult to know
how to guide you.
Assuming you are using GNOME and one of the last few Debian releases, go
into settings, click the search icon in the top left and type in
"click". That should get you the accessbility-releated options in one
of the results and you can adjust it there.
