On my machine, the man page doesn't mention --show.
$ cat /etc/debian_version
11.5
$ man shutdown | tail -n1
systemd 247 SHUTDOWN(8)
$ /sbin/shutdown --show
/sbin/shutdown: unrecognized option '--show'
