tmux scroll remote session

tmux scroll remote session

How do I scroll in tmux after

  $ tmux new -s SESS 'tmux set remain-on-exit on; CMD'

on a remote system (via ssh)?

My ordinary scroll works but it scrolls the "outer" tmux if
you will.

Clarification, so the process is, I think (?)

1. tty
2. tmux
3. ssh
4. tmux
5. tmux session
6. command <-- scroll (and/or save/log) this data, still echo
               it tho

C-b then Page Up/Down have been suggested and don't scroll
there but at (4) I guess ... (have
they been renamed prior/next? BTW)

Anyway keep it real ...
