Which in turn implies that what needs to be forward-ported is probably that python-dictdlib, whatever and wherever that is (it doesn't seem to be in current Debian testing, which would be expected if it is indeed Python-2-only, and I haven't taken the trouble to dig it up from the snapshots archive as of yet), as well as any dependencies that may have.
