OT: Freestanding spreadsheet program?

Back in the good (bad?) old days of TRS-80, all we had was 
VisiCalc. Simple.

Today, is there a useful spreadsheet program that does not rely 
on all the baggage associated with either an "office suite," or a 
"desktop environment?"
