it's built from stretch/sid according its /etc/debian_version

i don't know how to find out firmware, i guess it uses same as debian

they say ubuntu is more user-friendly and i know less details


You are using 32-bit Ubuntu and Debian on 64-bit processor. Why?

Ubuntu uses kernel 4.15.
Debian uses kernel 4.9, much older. This could be source of your problem.
