But some of us do. So, for the archives:

1) An error should be like this:
sd xx:0:x:0: [sdx] tag#0 Add. Sense: Logical block guard check failed

2) A firmware update to version 16.00.11.00 or later should fix it.

3) mpt3sas.prot_mask=128 *could* workaround it.
