Yes, NFS and AFP are also supported (I think even out of the box, but if it's not, there is a plug-in for it (I use NFS myself , and have seen AFP somewhere on openmediavault) I usually use sshfs (https://github.com/libfuse/sshfs), which does the job just fine.
