Question 1: Can you do "Non-Free Firmware on a USB Stick", while this DVD is booting up?

I also responded to a separate Thread, regarding "Offline Install via CD", but will put this question here, to combine issues from both Threads: Why can't we have an "Expert Path", with appropriate Menu Items (i.e. for Non-Free Firmware, and Network access), leading to a Live DVD Environment?

By the way, I need to report a "Misbehavior" of this Live DVD Gnome environment: Power Save. First time, it recovers (partway), if you hit the Space Bar. If you leave it long enough for a second Power Save, it's completely hung, requiring a Hard Reset (long-press of the Power Button) to recover. (Obviously, this is likely related to the lack of methodology to get Non-Free Firmware on it).
