Sounds like a bug. Sorry for breaking your thread, but just wanted to say
thanks.
I don't have a solution but like Psychedelic GUI occasionally.

p.s. When the flashback is over, you can check certain log files and find
out of it was a real Psychedelic event, or just some botched upgrade
thing.
