Whare are the actual errors?

Perhaps the camera registers itself as multiple devices one of which 
(likely related to the H.264 pre-compressed data) was unsupported in 
previous systems.

If it is an error (see above) then I suggest filing it against udev - 
developers can easily reassign later to e.g. linux-kernel if they find 
that more suitable.
