So, does the 'Apache error log' have anything useful?

First things first, it's 'ls -lZ /etc/apache2/apache2.conf'.
Next thing to check is 'ls -ald / /etc /etc/apache2'.
And, finally, /var/log/audit/audit.log if you have auditd installed
(hint - install it if you don't).
