Re: Help with install of debian stretch

Actually I was installing the following "

Installing Debian Linux with full-disk encryption and a key-boot disk

From Youtube but using debian-9.1.0-i386-netinst.  I came across a change from the video and suddenly I got the message to insert the same disc I was using (didn't realize it had ejected and didn't realize it was the same ISO) and thought the "Stretch" version was something different.  I tried a few distros such as Mate and Cinnamon but they didn't work. Then Boyan Penkov pointed me to a location and I realized it was the same ISO I was using, so I put it back in and it continued and finished.

Thanks for your response and I'll be thanking Boyan Penkov too.

Hi Bill,

You'd be better off asking for support on the debian-user list in
future (in CC).

I'm curious how you've managed to get to that message - if you're
installing from debian-9.1.0-i386-netinst, that's exactly the disc the
system is asking for. How have you done your installation, please?
