Hi All,
I am seeing the external usb hdd connected to the iinet modem via the usb port as being accessible via both Samba and DLNA.

How do I access it on a Debian machine.

I recommend starting with a graphical file browser that speaks
SMB to make sure that it all works, then use an fstab mount
if you want to make it permanent.

Hi All,
Thanks Dan for your speedy reply.
How do I find the computer name?
Yours Sincerely
