Purge xserver-xorg-video-nouveau and install xserver-xorg-video-modesetting. If
there are no remnants of proprietary NVidia driver remaining, then the
modesetting driver should be used automatically. In Stretch, the modesetting
driver has been incorporated into the xerver and used by default with many gfxchips.
