My issue isn't just about having no XDMCP support, lightdm does it as well. Its what happens when I log int o KDE5 over remote desktop. It bombs out because opengl extensions are not found. The only way I've managed to get around that it to start another X instance on vt5 or something and then attach x11vnc to that. But that just seems terrible...
