If I put 192.168.1.2, instead, I get something more:

$ smbclient -L 192.168.1.2
WARNING: The "syslog" option is deprecated
Enter rodolfo's password:
Domain=[WORKGROUP] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 2.2.12]
Server requested LANMAN password (share-level security) but 'client lanman auth = no' or 'client ntlmv2 auth = yes'
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED

And also:

# mount -t cifs //192.168.1.2/USB_Storage /mnt/public --verbose -o guest
mount.cifs kernel mount options: ip=192.168.1.2,unc=\\192.168.1.2\USB_Storage,user=,pass=********
Retrying with upper case share name
mount.cifs kernel mount options: ip=192.168.1.2,unc=\\192.168.1.2\USB_STORAGE,user=,pass=********
mount error(6): No such device or address
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)

Besides, pointing the web browser at 192.168.1.1, the usb storage is seen in
the Admin menu. Does all this suggest us anything useful...?

Thanks,

Rodolfo
