May be there has been an attempt of creating a session for Debian-gdm to launch on the console the greetings screen?

The last update of most files in ~Debian-gdm correspond with the last reboot of the server.

Could you check if you have libpam-systemd package installed? And also please check if "loginctl" shows sessions.
