All seems well here;  Synaptic functions normally with Debian
testing/KDE.  Last updated this afternoon.


Me too, amd64, and kernel 4.7.0.1 doesn't boot. Not the greatest of
upgrade days...

Thanks Floris, but python-apt was not the fix. :(
I think Synaptic would be a good bet for the most liable to break app in Debian's repos, the number of bugs filed against it are huge.
But like you say, it will be fixed soon. :)
